first of all, i think fyrhto's workshop was brilliantly done
even though i came late, and only in time for the final clash,
the whole concept was pretty good and to see freshies that have
not been there for outings attend, its really heartwarming!

and the thing that stood out the most, was the video that they made
for the graduates, its damn sweet oh my god!! k anyone who wants to see it,
ask me k? THANKS MAIN COMM FOR THE VIDEO, REALLY DAMN SWEET!

i was watching the euro finals with my dad,
and i was bored so i decided to spice things up,
so i made a bet with my dad, i said 20 bucks on the line,
i took germany, he took spain
i figured i am his son, and even if he won, he would let it go.

i went to cut my hair cause

so i entered this malay barber shop, and when it was my turn,

anyway i cut my hair, and my hair is like a pri 6 boy's haircut

i have been having weird dreams recently

first i was in tekong doing bmt, and then this huge tsunami came
and instead of running away from it, i ran like vertically with it

the other dream was,
i was camping at OCH with cindy, caroli, my uncle roy and someone i cant remember
when a troop of gorillas attacked us
and their weapons were baby gorillas which they swung around like baseballs
no kidding

i have been reading all your blogs people,

anyway, the military send off was awesome,i was blinded by its pure awesomeness
so fitting for someone so special, and deserving
from the blank rounds hired,to the military band playing
so magnificent
anyway, i saw gavyn, my ex football teammate and i spoke to him
and it turns out he is in the airforce now, and was roommates with clifton
and was in the same team with him when he collapsed.

so i asked some questions, and i know he has been through a lot,
so i didnt wanna press and probe as well, so i just asked some general qns
its like a combination of many elements, not just one, and it took its toil on him
high altitude, humidity and they were one of the first teams near the end,
so i am guessing they pushed themselves quite hard
i know some people point the blame at the system
but whats done is done, so no point pointing the blame at the army
or something, at least they gave him his wings and a beautiful send off

sigh its so depressing
and ah lam, i promise you i will quit smoking

anyway we went to watch kungfu panda
not as funny as how everyone stressed
it was ok, but everyone got my expectations up
the only part i like is when the panda met the rest of the 5 masters
and he says
wow your all bigger than your action figures, except you, mantis, your the same size

the news came about when my dad just told me about how someone had died in tekong 5 days upon entering NS, and now, i get calls about a fren of mine, who has passed.
i really dont know what to feel, maybe the closest thing to a feeling i have now is numbness.
it just hasnt sank in.
but i am afraid when it does sink in,
i wont be able to cope with it,
the best programme head someone can hope for,
the best FA that commented on the stupid programme feedback form,
and i am sure a very good fren to people out there.
i cant say i am extremely close to him, but in FO, and especially TPSU,
everyone is family.

and it seemed like yesterday that he and pam posed for a picture after my first ever FO,
they framed it up and gave it to each programmer as a memento.
everytime someone says smth good about me as a programmer,
i always thank saf and clifton in my mind, and i always looked at that photo with fondness,

and it was the same photo that i reached out for when i heard the news,
the same photo that i stared at and remnisced about the time we had together,
i am sure, he would want us to carry on with life, and he will always be with us no matter what,
in spirit or in our hearts
so lets celebrate the life of clifton, instead of mourn

if you need a good reason, edwin is a very good worker, very hardworking
and very dedicated to the cause of tpsu which actually is formed to help students, so nothing he does is for himself.
actually i have an easier way to convince you all.

For those who are in their second and third years, if you had fun at all tpsu events like jam and hop
and FOW/C, it was all organised by TPSU where edwin was a part of the executive community,
so this is like his second year running. so if you want to continue having fun throughout the whole
mundane academic school life with these sort of events to destress you, why not vote edwin as he has
the experience to plan and continue these events? YEA!

and for the year 1's, if you enjoyed FOW/C, that is just one example of how fun events that are planned by TPSU can be.
so vote for edwin, and he will carry on taking care that you have fun in school, and TP wont be a place for you to just study.

graduation was fun! hahaha or at least the law cohort was damn fun
every single person was cheering rubbish and 'woo-ing'
our best hurrah was reserved for abdul halim, our 193cm fren haha
when he went up, we grew crazy and shouted and screamed

anyway funny moment was when steph, our coursemate who topped the whole law
cohort, went up to receive her prize, we were all giving her a standing ovation and shouting
and screaming and then i shouted 'SHARE AH' freaking loud but i thought no one would hear

but everyone did. damn embarrassing hahahaah

and the same people who performed during D and D performed at our grad
and they sang the same lines over and over again, sorta like a build up to the song
so everyone knew the words cause there was incessant repeating, so i sang along freaking loudly
i went wild la dont care graduating hahahaha

after that was mad cam whoring with everyone!

dear readers, this is because edwin so kindly lent me his sisters ruby version
of pokemon, and while playing, it died on me and my saved game got deleted =(

so nvm i thought it was a one off thing, so i played again, went further than the last time

anyway, i was watching this show called day of the kamikaze
and the japanese soliders at that time were crazy.
crazy with honour and pride.
they re-enacted the scene of how a family deals with a son who volunteers to go
on a kamikaze mission, and its damn sad. the family cant be angry or like
go against the decision, cause its like a show of betrayal and stuff
but even more hurtful for the family members is that, its voluntary,
so to see your brother or son choose to die, must be heart-wrenching.

anyway, this part like reached out to my heart and squeezed it

the sister of the kamikaze guy: after we heard of the completion of the mission, mum reached
out for the photo of brother and herself, and repeatedly said, ''why did you have to die?
''why did you have to leave us?''
and she also said to me, not a single night goes by where my pillow is dry.

anyway something has been gnawing at me the past few weeks
ok let me start from the beginning
i got called up for a vocational assessment for commandos
and they say if you get called up for the interview, and even if you say you dont wanna join,
you are 80% most probably in.
the thing is, i said that i WANTED to join, and at the end of the interview, he said
SEE YOU AGAIN
so i took this as a good indication of whether i am in or not, so i assumed i shoud be in.
but then a friend of mine also went for the interview and he already received his letter for commandos in july.
and i am not a part of the tekong batch cause when i checked online if i am going tekong, they said not yet verified
when people even entering in october, their date appears online.
so again i am assuming i got commandos cause i am not in the tekong batch,but then i spoke to a fren of mine
in commandos and he said commandos have two intakes, one in july and one in JANUARY.
so does this mean i am going in, in january??!! nooooooooo
and at james party, i spoke to tat meng and he said there is another intake in september for commandos, and the letter
for that will come in june.
SO I DUNNO WHAT TO ARGHHH
ITS SIT AND WAIT TIME I GUESS
obviously the best case scenario for me is the september intake for commandos. sigh
i wanna go in asap, and finish asap. ah save me

so my last ever event in tp as a student has ended
and i guess, it ended with a bang?
as business won everything except the cheer contest,
but not for the lack of effort though, i think it was nice
but AS's cheer was really really simple, and effective

but i dont feel anything, not even joy or satisfaction
and what we have achieved at week zero, and i cant explain why
maybe i am just numb
bah it sucks haha but congrats to the BSC maincomm anyway,
they really put in a lot of effort and deserve the fantastic results
they achieved today. =)

design nightwalk was uber fun, a bit sad that it was so short,
but making do with the freshies we had that we could scare,

FOC, and the ending of the best 3 years of my life

ah foc has ended, and although week zero will end my tp life officially,
foc holds more meaning and more remembrance for me.

when glenn and i wanted to join GL's in year one, a certain sahfari, then president of tpsu,
said that GL's were full, and asked us to join programme comm. we asked whats that, same as GL ah?
his exact words were,'' its exactly the same''.

so we ''joined'' programme and i dont think i regretted it one bit. the people in the committee like jon see
and wei zheng, thought me a lot of stuff, and it was fun to see all the freshies and the GL's have fun at a game
that we painstakingly planned to the last detail. it was utmost satisfying, and i decided to join programme again.

Year 1 was also the period when i joined tpsu and went for tpsu orientation camp. i was in in van houten, which
had jodin, beatrice, yee ping and all, at that time. but i spent most of my time with glenns group, which had yasin and ivan,
and it was cause of this group that i loved SU and went for every event they had. Yasin made me love tpsu, and i really owe a
lot to him. sigh the memories

I also joined sl camp in year one, and i was in falcon, but there was nothing memorable about that sl camp so lets forget it
hahahaha

in year 2, i totally detached myself from tpsu, and i kick myself every moment i think about it. it was partly due to yasin and saf
leaving, and partly cause i was undecided to run and when i decided not to, i dont know what happened. i just spent more time with my law friends and totally forgot bout everything to do with tpsu. i only joined back after otc when i joined programme again, and made many new friends like john, ben, jessy and zp when serpyon came to my game, and got closer to old friends like tom and angel and nisa and mel and more. i then came back to the lounge soon after otc, and it helped made foc a better one. but i regretted like mad, and promised to not make the same mistake in year 3. i didnt join sl camp this year cause i was working and could only choose between foc or sl camp, so foc won.

year 3,the year with the biggest regret of my life. i didnt run for tpsu. sigh. i was so close to running, i even designed posters already.
i guess i just couldnt pull through with it cause i didnt know if i was good enough for the job, i just need that extra push from someone
saying i could do it. oh well. so in year 3, i spent everyday in the lounge and i got to know some of the bestest people in my life like ashely, sean yuting matthew ronald amanda and so many others, it made life so much more meaningful. i decided to join GL's this year, as i wanted to try something new, and also because i felt that in other to keep in touch with my tp memories, joining GL's will at least let me have outings with my empire, cause i know in programme comm, we only had one solitary outing and thats all.

so for this fow, it was one of the best camps i ever had in my life. i said during otc at a debriefing that come fow/c. i will give my freaking all, and i think i can pat myself on the back and say i did a good job. the freshies really did a damn good job and our play was testament to it.
it was seriously the best play or act that a bunch of strangers put together at any fow or foc. it beats even some of the gl's performances at previous otc's. it made people laugh, it made everyone think, it made us proud of fyrhto. and rightly enough, the freshies got first for fow.
maybe the GL's can get some credit but the freshieslike elton, stephanie, lohes so many others, put in so much for the group and they deserved the first they got. it was my first ever first placed ranking for anything. final clash also first ever win hahaha weee

well foc, the first 2 days i was so pissed off with the fyrhghie sub empire. we had freshies there with so much attitude, they should have just gone home. seriously, why did you all stay? if camp is so fucking boring just fucking leave la, why bring down the fucking empire with you?
everytime i watch them, they just move their lips or just clap for the sake of it, so dont fuckign say you all put in effort and started cheering. its thanks to the rest like julian, jim, anadee and rachel that fyrhto actually could jump from last for the first 2 days and reach third for the last. the rest of the freshies from all the sub empires like fyrhtrox, fyrhnox and as well as fyrhghie put in so much effort for the last day, it was so heartwarming and fulfilling to see them enjoy themselves and cheer like mad.

fyrhtrox had the luck to have very good freshies on both fow and foc so i enjoyed myself at camp like mad. thanks for the video as well vc.
